Police: Schwarzenegger Riding Illegally - Yahoo! News
The back and forth between Yamaha and Altadis is cute. But it's wrong to place any blame on Honda.

When Yamaha gave up Altadis as their sponsor, there was much speculation over the reasoning. Over on speedtv.com Dennis Noyes was wailing and gnashing his teeth over tens of millions of sponsorship euros lost. Why were the evil MotoGP teams being so bad to the poor tobacco companies? Others opined on a possible conflict between Rossi being sponsored by Altadis in MotoGP while testing Ferraris paid for by Marlboro.

Now we know none of that is true. Keep It Simple Stupid. The most likely scenario is that Tokyo Joe Camel simply wanted to be on Rossi's championship-winning Yamaha. So Camel dumped Honda (and not the other way 'round!) leaving Biaggi, Barros, Checa, Pons and Altadis out of the 2006 GP season. Game, set, match. Worst off was Biaggi, who apparently was led to believe he had some chance of humping Camel on a Kawasaki. But all the while Camel simply awaited the new year to announce sponsoring Biaggi's greatest rival Valentino Rossi.
