High-banking turns still await crew - Racing: "The old asphalt remains in Turns 1 and 2, with the exception of the concrete pad used to patch the racetrack following the Daytona 500 pothole incident, which forced two long delays during NASCAR's biggest event.
The big slab of concrete was extracted from the course by a Lane Construction detail, much like a dentist pulling a tooth.
The Speedway had no comment on what will happen to the large, concrete patch."
